Reflecting on Radiohead’s In Rainbows

I heard the song “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” on the radio at work today and was immediately transported through time. I was 20 years old again, driving in the middle of the night to the observation area of the DFW airport with Radiohead’s In Rainbows blasting in my Mazda. After living in Houston for about two years, I felt very overwhelmed about all the changes that were happening in my life. I called it quits for a year and moved back home to good ol’ Irving, Texas. This was a very confusing time in my life when I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted anymore, and I needed time to reflect. The airport is where I would go to think.
